From July 17 to 21, the final of the 12th Shandong Normal College Students' Professional Skills Competition was held in Ludong University. This competition is the largest, highest standard and most competitive comprehensive competition for normal students in our province, aiming at improving the teaching skills and comprehensive quality of normal students and promoting the vigorous development of education in the new era. The school started the organizational selection of the competition in March 2024, and determined four outstanding students from our school to participate in the final. The students of our college performed well in the competition. After four rounds of competition, including pen test, fixed question simulation class, random question simulation class and on-site defense, four contestants of our college stood out among many participating universities with rich professional knowledge and solid teaching skills, and all four contestants won awards. Among them, Guo Yanfei won the first prize, Cheng Zhenyu, Zhang Jiajia and Pan Mengting won the second prize, and Gao Song won the "Excellent Tutor Award".

Since the launch of the competition, the college has extensively mobilized students to participate in the teaching skills competition, and takes high-level competitions as the starting point to promote the teaching skills training of normal university students. The leadership of the college attaches great importance to the formation of an instructor team composed of Vice President Wang Jingjing as the leader, professional teachers Gao Shoubao, Gao Song, Chen Chuansong, Meng Xianmei, Wang Xinghai and external instructors to regularly provide detailed guidance on the contestants' teaching design, teaching, courseware making, teaching attitude and other aspects. During the preparation period, the deputy secretary Du Wei and other college leaders also went to the scene for many times to encourage the participants to study, train and prepare for the competition, and the work in each stage was carried out in an orderly manner. At the beginning of the competition, the internal selection is carried out, the competition requirements are clearly defined, and the competition of the players is strictly and fairly selected. Guidance teachers provide professional and personalized guidance for students' personal characteristics, and regularly hold 1-2 centralized trainings every week to correct the problems existing in students' lectures, and help them implement the concept of class standards, highlight the key points and design highlights. During the preparation period, the players made their own teaching AIDS and polished the fixed topics carefully. For random topics, the contestants try to talk to each other and exchange experience. The competition has built a platform for the participating normal university students to communicate with each other, learn from each other and promote each other, which is conducive to the continuous improvement of the teaching and research ability of our students and the acceleration of their professional growth.
