On the afternoon of July 3 2020, the signing ceremony of the school’s International Demonstration College was held in the Qianfoshan Campus. Zhang Wenxin, deputy secretary of the school party committee and deputy leader of the party committee’s foreign affairs leading group, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. On behalf of SDNU, Zhang Wenxin signed a letter of responsibility for the establishment of an international demonstration college with the principals of the School of Economics, the School of Physics and Electronics, the School of Psychology, and the School of Business.

Building an international demonstration college is an important part of the "Shandong Normal University's Action Plan for Promoting International Education (2019-2022)". It is planned to spend three years to introduce and integrate international high-quality educational resources, advanced educational concepts and academic operation organizational models to improve the level of the teaching staff and optimize the teaching and research environment. Through the leading role of the International Demonstration College, the school's overall international running level and international influence will be significantly improved.
